What a week. Seriously, what a wild ride.
We kicked things off with an offsite with the German team – rafting at the Canoe Park, followed by strategy days with the executive team to lay the path for continuing sustainable growth of BDX. Even though I’m fully out of the day-to-day operations in Germany, it’s super important for me to see the team regularly, share my spirit and insights, and get a real feel for how things are running in Leipzig. No matter how busy I am with business in America and all those really amazing projects, I’ll always make time to stay in touch with the original core of BDX in Germany. So much going on, so much action. Loved every minute.

My next stop was Munich
I had the incredible honor to do a keynote at SIXT – the bold orange and black car rental that makes headlines every other week with their brilliant marketing ideas. Trendcon in Leipzig
From Munich I headed straight back to Leipzig for one of my absolute highlights of the year: Trendcon – our marketing event about trends, innovations and brand hacks. And wow, what a line-up: founders, extreme athletes, influencers, marketing geniuses. We even did a live plunge on stage. No filler, all killer content. The topic? Budget cheats. How do you create massive impact with limited spend? We unpacked the latest trends, tools, and tactics that make small budgets go a long way.

Speaking of trends
There’s a new format popping up on Insta & co. – you’ve probably seen it: 5120 × 1080, extreme wide. 9:16 is basically social media standard, but also kinda boring. Some brands decided to do the exact opposite: go ultra-wide. And it’s blowing up fast. Why? Simple trend formula: break the pattern. It disrupts expectations, grabs attention, and suddenly, everyone’s watching – regardless of the actual content. Pro tip for brands: take your existing assets, export them in this new format, upload, and ride the trend wave while it’s still fresh. Thank me later.
