Last week I celebrated a small – but for me, pretty huge – milestone: 10,000 followers on LinkedIn.
After years of work, that feels amazing and reminded me of something important: Very few creators blow up overnight.

The best example is Adrian Per (@omgadrian). He made music, was a video creator for ages with almost no reach – even though he was super, super active and pushed out tons of content.
About a year and a half ago, he started posting those distinctive Instagram videos with big yellow fonts. Industry-changing. In roughly a year, he shot up to nearly 1 M followers – with massive reach and absurdly strong engagement.
But it’s not just about numbers, fame, or quick hits. It’s about passion. Do things because you believe in them. Sometimes it takes half a year, a year, or ten years until it suddenly clicks.
Take Ben Bernschneider, for example: a photographer for ages, countless photo books and magazines – and then he posts a reel about men’s fashion and, within a few months, becomes the most well-known German creator for male fashion. A true icon. Why? Because you can feel in every second that he loves what he does.
So: as a creator or founder, don’t wire yourself with artificial pressure to succeed. It poisons everything. Follow the obsession, not the algorithm.
Upcoming Event
Fittingly, we’ve got a really exciting event next Tuesday: a live podcast with Adrian Per in L.A. Sign in now.

Our events are always packed, but this time we wanted to deliberately reach a new audience. So we promoted it with a small guerrilla marketing stunt. Across the area we put up posters with a big QR code and a clear message:

Why? Because the simplest way to get people to take an action is often to tell them not to do it. Pattern break + curiosity + a clear single-action design. It worked.
That’s it for this week. If you’re in L.A. next Tuesday, sign up for the live podcast and swing by. We’re excited to see you.
See you next Friday! ✌️
