This week, I’m mixing things up. You can now catch The Bigger Picture as a more detailed video format – for those who like to see it in action. Same insights, just a bit more dynamic. Click on the thumbnail below if you’re more into video than reading!
The Bigger Picture (Video)
Back to Business: Yosemite Trip
Let me tell you about my recent trip to Yosemite National Park. It was my third time visiting, and I still can’t get enough of it. The nature, the vibe – it’s hands down one of the most beautiful places in the world. We drove up there for about six hours, which meant lots of time for podcasts.
One podcast I recently discovered is by Mark Mastrandrea (@markbrazil), an entrepreneur and creator based in LA. I actually met him in person recently, and we had a little full-circle moment. A while back his company, IKONICK, does amazing work in IP licensing, and they sold these really amazing visual statements in Monopoly design which would have been perfect for our BDX office in Leipzig. But sadly they didn’t deliver to Germany.
So we kinda ripped them off and copied them ourselves. When I met him in LA at the Lighthouse campus recently I told him the story and he found it hilarious.
He had just finished recording a few podcast episodes – one of them with Caleb Ralston. He is the strategic mastermind behind Gary Vaynerchuk and Alex Hormozi. You need to check this out: Watch the episode.
Instagram Trial Reels
I got some really amazing new insights during our Yosemite trip. If you’re into Instagram marketing, you should definitely try out Instagram Trial Reels. These are reposts of your best-performing Reels, but here’s where it gets interesting: They don’t go to your current followers. Instead, they get suggested to new audiences. You get free reach to a brand-new crowd.
We tried it in June and saw some great results, but I believe there’s way more potential in this. I’ve got two other amazing content hacks, but you’ll have to check out “The Bigger Picture” weekly video update.

One more thing: Sometimes you just need to disconnect and let your mind wander. I had some of my best ideas while hiking in Yosemite. When you’re not constantly distracted, that’s when real creativity happens.
By the way, have you checked out the new Netflix series Untamed? It’s a mix of murder mystery and breathtaking visuals from national parks. Definitely worth the watch: Watch on Netflix.
Let me know what you think about the new video format, and if you want to join us for the next Venice Pizza Club – hit me up!
See you next Friday! ✌️
