I’ve been on the road for a few days now (yesterday Buffalo, today NY) and every time I get back to L.A. after a long trip, I’m totally blown away.
By the city’s vibe, by the nature (I went on an amazing hike last weekend – check out some pics below), but most of all: by the people.
Everyone here is just… friendly.
Walk through a city in Germany and all you see are frowns. In L.A.? It’s different. And it’s not just the weather. It’s a mindset.
Best example: waiters.
I told you about Carbone a few weeks ago – iconic spot in New York. There, waiters easily make 150k a year.
Why? Because tips in the U.S. are tax free. On a $200 bill, a $20 tip goes straight into their pocket. You can make serious money – if you deliver. That means: top-tier service. Great vibe. Friendliness isn’t optional. It’s key.
And honestly? It’s the same in business. As a service provider, companies don’t just choose your product, your deck, or your case. They choose you. Your attitude. Your energy. Your way of showing up. Because knowledge and skills? Those are standard. But how you show up – that’s what sticks.
